Bush v Gore: Count Every Vote (Except in Nassau County, Florida)

The Nassau County Supervisor of Elections, Shirley King, a Democrat, testified under oath that the omission of the box of ballots had been an oversight, that those votes should have been counted, and that the initial report of votes from Nassau County was wrong. After counting the missing 218 votes, Bush gained an additional 51 votes over Gore. What did the Democrats do when they found out that Bush had won that precinct by 51 votes?
